About 10 samples are taken during the composting
operation from start to finish The results are plotted
on a graph showing changes in: C/N ratio, organic matter,
size breakdown, changes in total N, ammonia, nitrate and
organic N, changes in moisture, pH and soluble salts. Graphs
illustrate the time when the most changes occur, or when
the composting has stalled and reason why.
